What’s that old phrase? Find a penny, pick it up, and then all day you’ll get one cent guacamole from Chipotle?
Well that’s the case July 31 at the burrito chain’s stores. In celebration of National Avocado Day Chipotle is offering up the creamy side for only one single penny.
However, this deal isn’t for just anyone walking through the door. An entrée must be purchased through the Chipotle app or website, then members of the restaurant’s rewards clubs can receive their discount by entering the code “AVO2022” at checkout.

The brand isn’t stopping there though! Through July 31 they’re also hosting an interactive game called, “Buy the Dip,” in which players have the opportunity to win codes that will net them one cent guacamole (not just on July 31), one cent queso, and thousands of dollars in crypto given in Ethereal, Bitcoin, Avalanche, Solana, and Dogecoin. If a player wins a prize within the game they have 15 seconds to accept that prize or swap for the chance at another.
In June, Chipotle announced they would now accept digital currency, including cryptocurrency, nationwide. “We want to build the next generation of Chipotle fandom by connecting with the Web3 community,” Chief Marketing Officer Chris Brandt said via press release. “We’re excited to bring positivity to the crypto conversation by empowering fans to ‘Buy the Dip.’”

Earlier this summer, Chipotle announced they would be testing out “walk-up windows” at select locations where customers could place their order, then pick it up without having to enter the restaurant.
