Jon Meacham Narrates 'Hope, Through History' Podcast With RADIO.COM's Cadence13

Hope, Through History

RADIO.COM's Cadence13 announced Thursday the launch of their new podcast, "Hope, Through History." The podcast will be narrated by Pulitzer Prize winner Jon Meacham.

"Hope, Through History" is a limited-run documentary podcast series that will address times when American leaders and community members were forced to face crises of historic magnitude. Meacham will dive into how these crises affected economy and culture.

The five-episode series will feature the outline of one crisis for each episode, including the 1918 flu pandemic, the Great Depression, World War II, the polio epidemic, and the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The series will also feature a slew of notable guests, such as bestselling author Doris Kearns Goodwin, bestselling author Walter Isaacson, presidential historian Michael Beschloss, and bestselling author Erik Larson.

The series will be written and narrated by Meacham with Cadence13 at the helm of direction and production.

"I believe in history and I believe in hope," Meacham says. "Bringing these sweeping moments of history to life will illustrate both the resilience and spirit of the American people, and I'm excited to join with Cadence13 to tell these stories, and have HISTORY help bring it across their audience."

Meanwhile, Mark Garner, executive vice president of Content Licensing and Business Development at A+E Networks, says, "'Hope, Through History' enables HISTORY to lean into our DNA - to inform and give context, especially in these unprecedented times. We're proud to partner with Jon Meacham and Cadence13 to examine these stories of the past to bring inspiration to our present."

Episode 1 of the series, outlining the Great Depression, will launch on April 21 on the RADIO.COM app.
