Justin-based 76-foot smoker sets Guinness record as largest food truck

Guinness World Records

A 76-foot moving smoker based in Justin has earned the Guinness World Record for the largest food truck ever. The Ultimate Smoker & Grill received the title earlier this month after three decades of serving barbecue across the South.

Guinness World Records adjudicator Tina Shi verified the measurements on October 10 at Hilltop Truck Park in Northlake. The rig measures 76 feet 7.68 inches long, 11 feet 1.07 inches high, and 14 feet 11.92 inches wide. A 4,000-pound smoker is attached to the vehicle and can cook chicken, sausages, brisket and other meats, while dual griddles, a pizza oven and stovetops handle additional food. An outdoor LED screen and sound system allow the truck to host live music or stream events.

Owner Trace Arnold said the recognition comes as the operation approaches its 30th anniversary in 2027. The truck has traveled throughout the region serving barbecue and is preparing for a planned 2027 cross-country road trip. When not on the road, it is displayed at Hilltop Truck Park in Northlake. Local companies including Reliable Construction of Arlington and Eagle Surveying of Denton assisted with the record attempt and official measurements.

The record confirms what Texans have long claimed about the scale of local barbecue. The Ultimate Smoker & Grill joins a short list of oversized Texas cooking rigs, though this is the first to hold the official Guinness title for largest food truck.
