
It's something that bugs a lot more drivers than you'd think. They hate it when other drivers are staring at their smartphones, while they're behind the wheel.
It's against the law in Texas and about half of the states in the country.
But, not all states have mandatory hands-free laws when it comes to smartphones and drivers.
A new study from Nationwide finds that 88 percent of people say they want their state governments to do more to stop distracted drivers. Around the same percentage say states should make it illegal to hold a cellphone in your hands unless it's an emergency.
Only about 60 percent of people say they rely solely on hands-free tech when they drive.
