New 103-Year-Old Grand Canyon Junior Ranger Is Older Than the Park

At 103-years-old Rose Torphy is starting a new job as a junior ranger at the Grand Canyon National Park, which is actually younger than she is.

The park is about to turn 100-years-old, and this mom of three, who also has nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren wants the canyon to be around for many generations to come.

As a junior ranger, it's Rose's duty to protect the land and become a steward to the park. She now wears her ranger pin on her coat proudly and tells people you're never too old to see the Grand Canyon.
