Over the years, Oreo has attempted a variety of different cookie and crème filling flavors.
While many usually choose the classic cookie, some of the limited-edition cookies have gained huge followings of fans that will do anything to see them back on shelves.
Oreo has unveiled a first-ever cookie flavor to celebrate the brand’s 110th birthday, and fans of a birthday cake will want to try it, CNN reports.
The first-ever Oreo was sold at a grocery store in Hoboken, New Jersey, back in 1912. Now 110 years later, the cookies have their own shelf at most grocery stores filled with various Oreo flavors. Starting January 31st, a new flavor will be added to the shelf, as the cookie company has unveiled a unique Chocolate Confetti Cake to celebrate Oreo's birthday.
The limited-edition cookie features sprinkles in both the cookie and the frosting, along with two layers of filling; the classic crème flavor and a new chocolate-cake flavored crème. Oreo’s official birthday will be celebrated on March 6th.
This isn’t the first time Oreo revealed something new to cookie lovers.
In December, Oreo announced that the company would be adding two new flavors to their lineup in the new year.
Ultimate Chocolate Oreos and Toffee Crunch Oreos are currently on shelves across the country. Shoppers have been able to buy the new cookies since January 3.
As for the new flavors that made their debut in 2022, the Ultimate Chocolate Oreos will only be available for a limited time, while the Toffee Crunch Oreos are becoming a permanent member of the team.
Fans of chocolate will enjoy the new Ultimate Chocolate Oreos that feature three different layers of chocolate crème. As for the Toffee Crunch Oreos, it will pair the classic chocolate cookies with toffee creme and sugar crystals.
