FARMINGTON, Conn. (WCBS 880) — A plane crashed into a building in Connecticut on Thursday morning, according to authorities.

Farmington Police on Twitter confirmed that emergency personnel were responding to a plane crash at an industrial building on Hyde Road around 10 a.m.
Photos from the scene show extensive fire coming from one section of the structure.

Firefighters appeared to have put the flames out by 11 a.m.
However, footage from the scene showed smoky conditions and first responders still using hoses to extinguish the blaze.
There was no immediate word on any injuries.
Several roads in the area are closed, including Hyde Road, Spring Lane and Johnson Avenue. Residents are asked to avoid the area.
