75 miles away from their owner, these medals were finally brought home thanks to a stranger's kindness.
Lenny Kurtz, a Vietnam veteran, was walking his dog when he found a satchel with a purple heart, a Navy corpsman medal and military paperwork in it.
After turning it into police, the department shared it on Facebook, writing "Someone is definitely missing these today, they just may not realize it yet."
With the help of Facebook, police found 75-year-old Jeffrey Simon, who also served in Vietnam.
Without even realizing it, these veterans made sure to take care of a fellow soldier.
