A recent video shows a police officer in Finland as he attempts to save a swan stuck in a fishing net.
A Facebook post to the Eastern Finland Police Department's page shows the man inching into the water in just his underwear and a T-shirt in an attempt to free the creature from the tangles of the net.
After a few struggles with the net to begin with, the officer can be seen getting a hold of the swan's head to control the animal while he attempts to free it. The swan lets out a few anxious yelps.
Finally, the officer is able to free the swan from the net with no harm inflicted on either the bird or the officer.
The whole ordeal began when a citizen reported an injured swan on Lake Pielavesi off the island of Kirkkosaari. An onlooker can be heard saying, "Thank you!" as the officer walks off the scene.
Finally, the clip shows the swan as it swims off into the lake, sans fishing net.
Crazy animal videos have been circulating the internet for some time, giving viewers a welcome reprieve from the daily reality of the coronavirus pandemic.
In Australia, a recent video showed a group of fishermen as they battled a few sharks that had begun to hang out by the school of fish they were targeting.
The clip, captured on March 26 by a local named Philonema Noma, shows the workers on the shore of the beach in Murray Island, Queensland, reeling in as much as as they can while sharks wade in the shallow waters and feed on the dense gathering of fish mere feet away.
