Popeyes is offering up a mouth tingling new flavor.
Available for a limited time only, the fried chicken chain has announced its Sweet ’N Spicy Wings. An order will feature crispy chicken wings that have been marinated in a blend of chili, garlic, and ginger.
The new wings are available at participating locations beginning Aug. 22.
Starting at $5.99, Popeyes claims the new wings are a surefire “crowd favorite at any tailgate,” which happens to be perfect timing as the NFL season begins Sep. 7.
In the item’s press release, Popeyes noted the new offering “strikes the perfect balance between slightly sweet and slightly spicy – just like a sweet and spicy Southern grandma.”
Select locations in LA, NYC, and New Orleans will be giving away greeting cards to celebrate “sweet ’n spicy” grandmas who purchase a Popeyes gift card of 5$ or more, beginning Sep. 25. National Grandmother's Day arrives Oct. 8.
