The P in Pringles now stands for pickle!
Pickle fanatics will be thrilled by the chip company’s latest limited edition flavor: deep-fried pickles.
“New Pringles Wavy Deep Fried Pickle brings all the dill-icious, batter-coated flavor of the restaurant classic into an easy-to-eat crisp,” the press release notes.
The flavor of the chip is said to combine the “tanginess of dill pickles” and the “savory goodness of fried food."
"The Pringles brand prides itself in delivering insanely accurate flavor combinations that are both familiar and delicious," Gareth Maguire, senior director of marketing for Pringles said in the release.
He added: "With the debut of Pringles Wavy Deep Fried Pickle, fans can experience their favorite, iconic fried appetizer flavor in an entirely new, easy to snack form. Paired with other Pringles staples, these snackable, stackable crunchy crisps are an absolute must-try."
If you want to get your hands on these, they’re only available at Dollar General stores and get them while supplies last.
The company suggests pairing them with other Pringle staples to create a bold flavor profile.
Their suggestion is to create a Fried Pickle Cheesy Ranch Stack, which includes Pringles Wavy Deep Fried Pickle, Pringles Cheddar Cheese, and Pringles Ranch.
So much taste in every bite.
Pringles isn’t the first company to introduce a pickle flavor.
In June, Doritos announced that their beloved pickle-flavored chips were returning to the U.S.
The Doritos Tangy Pickle chips were packaged in a bright green bag, with the “i” in “pickle” replaced by a lightning bolt to suggest a tangy, pickle-y flavor.
Doritos previously had a similar version of the flavor dubbed “Intense Pickle” that was only available in Canada.
And Lay’s has several flavors including a basic dill pickle flavored potato chip, fried pickles with ranch flavor that’s available for a limited time, and a flamin’ hot dill pickle chip.
