Puppy Born With Backwards Paws Gets Surgery to Learn to Walk

This adorable puppy is taking a step in the right direction. Milo was born unable to walk because his front paws were facing up instead of down.


But Oklahoma State University's Center for Veterinary Health Sciences took care of that. Doctors say the 10-week-old beagle and coonhound mix was born with congenital elbow dislocation.

So they put pins in the pup's elbows to reposition the joints in order to help him learn to walk. Milo is now recuperating at an animal sanctuary, and staff says he doing well and is just a "very happy puppy."
