Even though you likely haven’t polished off your Halloween candy just yet, you better make room in your candy bowl for Reese’s newest holiday offering.
After the success of Hershey’s chocolate and peanut butter-shaped Christmas trees last season, the candy brand decided to release a nutcracker-shaped Reese’s.
Inspired by the toy soldier that originated in the late 17-century Germany and became associated with Christmas, each individual candy bar has the design carved into the chocolate.
The packaging also features the Christmastime symbol in a variety of colors.
“One of the joys of the season is discovering the latest Reese’s Peanut butter Cup holiday shapes. Well, open your arms (and your mouth) and welcome Reese’s Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Nutcrackers Snack Size treats,” the description reads.
The candy will be available at retailers like Walmart, Rite Aide, and Walgreens. A 10-ounce bag will cost you about $3.
The nutcrackers aren’t the only new treats being added this season.
Reese’s will also have an advent calendar that lets you countdown to Christmas in “the tastiest way possible.”
“This portfolio is one of the largest holiday offerings we have ever created and we are excited to be introducing the 10th limited edition holiday HERSHEY’S KISSES variety with the new HERSHEY’S KISSES Sugar Cookie candy, giving consumers the most exciting flavor profiles and festive options to choose from," said Michael Reese, senior brand manager, Hershey holiday team.
Other holiday flavors include the Milk Chocolate Build-A-Santa, Cookies 'N' Creme Build-A-Snowman, Reese’s White Elephant, the Reese’s Miniatures Mega Cane, Kit Kat Duos Mint + Dark Chocolate snack-size and Ice Breakers Snowman Bottle Pack Gum.
