17-year-old Alexander asked his straight best friend, Erick, to be his homecoming date in a heartwarming way.
The high school senior popped the question to his pal, who is on the football team. And even though he's not gay -- he said yes to set an example that straight and gay men can be friends.
Although their idea to be each other dates was initially as a joke, the duo will be proudly heading to the dance together.
And Alexander says he's definitely wearing heels to homecoming and getting his nails done for the big night.
