When it comes to holiday spirit, some states are more festive than others!
A study conducted by GetCenturyLink.com measured the amount of holiday cheer throughout the U.S. via various metrics to find out who's more Buddy the Elf and who's a flat-out Grinch.
Their findings were based on Google searches for holiday-themed things like Christmas movies, gingerbread houses, online shopping for gifts, streaming Christmas music, seasonal tweets, along with area-specific information like number of Christmas tree farms and charitable donations.
Despite the pandemic-stricken year, Utah managed to keep its spirits high once again making it to the top spot alongside Idaho and Wisconsin.
Arkansas ranked as the most charitable state, while West Virginia donated the least.
The study noted that a possibility of a white winter may play a role in the amount of Christmas spirit as nearly half of the states in the 10 ten usually have snowy winters.
For the second year in a row, Hawaii and Florida are the grinchiest states. They landed in the bottom five for holiday cheer, with the latter dead last.
And again, seven of the 10 states with the least Christmas spirit all had mild or warm winters.

If you find yourself lacking the festive mood, there's a few things you can do.
Researchers suggest putting up Christmas decorations early on to boost your mood. "When you're putting up decorations, you're thinking of happier times, times with family and friends and family traditions you engaged in," Amy Morin, a Florida-based psychotherapist, said.
And don't forget to watch all 40 Hallmark Christmas movies!
