A woman dangling from rocks turned out to be a real dummy!
California firefighters were called to a beach to attempt a cliff rescue after someone called 911 to report that there was a person hanging on to the rocks. Turns out it was just a mannequin, UPI reports.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says that someone reported the emergency when they were on Hope Ranch Beach. The caller said that a woman was hanging off the cliff without climbing gear.
Firefighters brought the whole cavalry, including trucks, drones, and other rescue vehicles. Once emergency crews arrived, they realized it was just a mannequin.
Where did it come from? Authorities say someone had used the figure to shoot a movie a few days earlier.
