A former 911 dispatcher in New Orleans is being sued after using funds from a million dollar-plus deposit that was mistakenly put in her account.

Kelyn Spadoni, 33, recently checked her investment account to find $1.2 million deposit that was actually supposed to be an $82 transfer from Charles Schwab & Co., reports NOLA.com.

Spadoni was arrested after she transferred the money to another account, and faces charges of theft valued over $25,000, bank fraud and illegal transmission of monetary funds.

Spadoni used the funds to purchase a new new house and a brand car — a 2021 Hyundai Genesis — according to officials.

Charles Schwab got the police involved after noticing the mistake and repeated calls to Spadoni that went unanswered.

Spadon was also fired for her job as 911 dispatcher at the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.

"She had no legal claim to that money. Even if it was put in there by mistake, it was an accounting error," said Sheriff's Office spokesperson Capt. Jason Rivarde.
