The Rockets' No. 2 overall pick is considered by some to be the best scorer available in the draft.

Jalen Green, 19, led the G League Ignite last season with 17.9 points per game. He's a natural perimeter scorer, adept at shooting from outside and getting to the rim.

Green shot 36.5 percent from 3-point range in his 15 games with the G League Ignite.

He joins a Rockets squad led by Christian Wood, John Wall, and Kevin Porter Jr., which finished with the worst record (17-55) in the NBA last season.

A backcourt pairing of Green and Porter, who averaged 16.6 points and 6.3 assists in 26 games for the Rockets last year.

As expected, the Detroit Pistons drafted Cade Cunningham from Oklahoma State with the No. 1 overall pick. Evan Mobley from USC went to the Cleveland Cavaliers at No. 3.
