It appears as if there is a boycott headed toward next month’s NFL Scouting Combine.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, agents representing more than 150 draft prospects are organizing a boycott of all testing, on-field workouts and interviews at next month’s NFL scouting combine if heavy “bubble” restrictions are not changed.

The league issued a memo on Saturday regarding restrictions, which are in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in which the NFL intends to created a bubble environment.

Players will be allowed one “medical support person” who must be fully vaccinated and anyone who violates the restrictions will be disqualified from participating in the combine.

These restriction would limit access to each player’s full team of coaches and trainers, etc., per Rapoport.

If the boycott is indeed carried out, that would eliminate roughly half of the invitees.

Last year, the combine was altered with no in-person workouts, instead being held on pro days, while interviews and psychological testing were done virtually.

The combine is scheduled to begin March 1.
