With free agency set to begin next week, the Dallas Cowboys are expected to part ways with wide receiver Amari Cooper.

While the expectation is that they will release Cooper to free up $20 million in cap space, it is also possible a team tries to make a trade for him.

Either way, Cooper will be playing elsewhere next season, which in the current landscape of sports betting means there are future odds on where the four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver will land.

Here are the odds on the top five landing sports for Cooper via Bookies.com.

Miami Dolphins +450

The Dolphins begin as the favorites for Cooper as Miami enters the offseason with ample cap space to spend. Bringing in Cooper would create an Alabama All-Star team in Miami, joining Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback and Jaylen Waddle in the receiving corps (although Cooper is much older and never played with them at Bama). Add in Davante Parker opposite of Cooper with Waddle in the slot and suddenly the Dolphins are loaded with offensive weapons.

New York Jets +500

We stay in the AFC East with the next-best odds to land Cooper belonging to the Jets. The former first-round pick would immediately come in as the No. 1 receiver opposite veteran Corey Davis and second-year receiver Elijah Moore. That trio would certainly give Zach Wilson an effective receiving corps to work with and probably the best receiving corps the Jets have had in a long time.

New England Patriots +600

There seems to be a theme here as another AFC East team has favorable odds to land Cooper. Of the three teams, it is the Patriots who have a winning pedigree; but who will be running New England’s offense still remains a question as Josh McDaniels has yet to be replaced. Regardless of who is calling the plays, it is evident the Patriots could use a true No. 1 receiver for Mac Jones as he continues his development.

Philadelphia Eagles +750

The Eagles have long been in the market to add a wide receiver so it’s no surprise they have top-five odds to add Cooper. Philadelphia would serve as another Alabama reunion with Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith (again, Cooper was before both of their times) and give Hurts a dynamic 1-2 punch with Cooper and Smith, the latter of whom had an impressive rookie season.

In fact, Cooper and Smith could set up a similar dynamic as Cooper and CeeDee Lamb did in Dallas, with Smith eventually emerging as the No. 1 option. That scenario would work better for the Eagles than the Cowboys as they won’t be paying Cooper $20 million if he is released and can be signed as a free agent.

Chicago Bears +800

Allen Robinson is about to hit the free agent market after an underwhelming 2021 campaign and seems destined to leave Chicago. Naturally, Cooper would make an ideal replacement. While Darnell Mooney emerged with a 1,00-yard season last year, Cooper is a veteran receiver who can still serve as the No. 1 option for Justin Fields, who showed flashes of his potential in 2021, and would make an excellent paring with Mooney.
