We all have our junk-food kryptonite. For some, it’s a sweet tooth. Others might prefer the salty stylings of McDonald’s fast food. Though you wouldn’t know it by his athletic physique, Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has cravings too, getting his junk-food fix in the form of Hot Cheetos Fries.

For Edwards, Hot Cheetos are more than a guilty pleasure—they’re an addiction. Moderation doesn’t seem to be in Edwards’ vocabulary, because the former first overall pick says he eats as many as three bags daily, bringing his weekly total to 21.
Given all the energy he burns on the hardwood, the 6’4,” 225-pound Edwards requires a higher caloric intake than most. That combined with his 21-year-old metabolism affords Edwards the luxury of eating essentially whatever he wants. Still, Edwards’ Cheeto habit is bound to catch up to him at some point … right?
Perhaps not. Despite his egregious diet, “Ant Man” is having a career year for the T-Wolves (24.9 ppg), who have quietly won five of seven to move within three games of third in the Western Conference. Edwards, who made his acting debut alongside Adam Sandler in last summer's Netflix drama Hustle, may be angling for an endorsement deal with Cheetos, bolstering a portfolio that already includes partnerships with Adidas, Popeyes and Sprite.
