Bill Belichick is respectfully passing on giving the same pointed analysis as Tom Brady.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback made waves last Thursday when he responded to a question about parity in the NFL, saying he’s seen a lot of bad football this year.

It proved to be a prescient observation, as mere hours later one of the worst games in recent memory played out in primetime between the Broncos and Colts.

Brady’s former coach, Bill Belichick, was asked Monday in his weekly appearance on the “Greg Hill Show” if he agreed with Brady. Belichick let out a chuckle before doing a classic Belichick sidestep.

“I don’t know if Tom and I have been watching the same games, so I’ll let him speak for himself on that," Belichick said. "I’ve commented on all our games this year, so what’s on the record is on the record for me.”

There might be some bad football being played around the NFL right now, but the Patriots weren’t responsible for that in Week 5, shellacking the Lions 29-0 at Gillette Stadium on Sunday.
