There is a potential playoff preview on tap in the Eastern Conference on Saturday night when the Milwaukee Bucks visit the Cleveland Cavaliers. Over the last few weeks, the Bucks have started to slip further and further behind the Celtics at the top of the Eastern Conference standings. The problem is they are just 11-11 on the road this season, including 3-6 in their last nine road games. To make matters worse, Giannis Antetokoumpo has missed four straight games due to injury while Khris Middleton has been out for more than a month, although he does appear close to returning. As for the Cavs, they’ve also slipped a little lately, but they are still 19-4 at home, perhaps giving them an edge in this game. The only caveat is that leading scorer Donovan Mitchell hasn’t been himself lately and is listed as day-to-day with a groin injury, which could hinder Cleveland’s chances of holding serve at home against the Bucks. No. 14 TCU vs No. 2 Kansas
The Big 12 provides Saturday’s game of the day in college basketball with the no. 2 Kansas Jayhawks hosting the no. 14 TCU Horned Frogs. The Horned Frogs were perhaps caught looking ahead, falling Wednesday night at West Virginia, giving them three losses in their last four games. However, behind Mike Miles Jr. and his 19.1 points per game, TCU does have wins this season over the likes of Iowa, Providence, and Baylor. Plus, their three Big 12 losses have come by a combined 15 points, so they’re capable of keeping things close. Meanwhile, Kansas is coming off an overtime loss to Kansas State. Even Jalen Wilson’s 38 points in that game weren’t enough for the Jayhawks. While they’re still 5-1 in conference play, four of those five wins have come by four points or less, so Kansas may not be a good candidate to cover a big spread.
