Tennessee vs Florida (+6.5)
The game of the week in college football this week appears to be the SEC East rivalry game between the no. 11 Tennessee Volunteers and the Florida Gators. The Vols head to The Swamp as 6.5-point road favorites, although it’s worth noting that they haven’t won in Gainesville since 2003. In fact, the Gators have won 16 of the last 18 games in this rivalry despite Tennessee taking last year’s meeting 38-33. The Volunteers dominated Virginia in their season opener but were less convincing in a 30-13 win over Austin Peay last week. Meanwhile, Florida lost its season opener against Utah before bouncing back with a win over McNeese State last week, although the Gators at least got a taste of facing a top-15 team in their loss to the Utes. They also held Utah to 105 rushing yards and just 3.5 yards per carry in that game, which could bode well for Florida’s chances of slowing down the Tennessee rushing attack. Look for the Gators to load up against the run and force Joe Milton to beat them with his arm. With Graham Mertz, Florida likely has the better quarterback in this game, allowing the Gators to at least keep this game within 6.5 points, even if they don’t continue their home winning streak against Tennessee.

49ers vs Rams (+8)
The Week 2 NFL schedule features an intriguing NFC West battle between the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams. The 49ers dominated the Steelers 30-7 on the road last week and head into this week as 8-point road favorites. Keep in mind that San Francisco has dominated this rivalry in recent years. Outside of the NFC Championship Game that the Rams won on their way to the Super Bowl two years ago, the 49ers have won the last eight meetings between these teams. Of those eight wins, four have come by at least 10 points. However, the Rams were one of the biggest surprises in Week 1, winning 30-13 in Seattle. Los Angeles was impressive on both sides of the ball last week, especially with Matthew Stafford finishing with the second-most passing yards of any quarterback, even without Cooper Kupp. Even if the 49ers have had the Rams’ number in recent years, Los Angeles was impressive enough in Week 1 to make us think they can prevent the 49ers from being able to cover more than a touchdown in this game.
