The Odell Beckham Jr. rumors are heating up and no team is hotter on him right now than the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys have been linked to the star receiver with Ezekiel Elliott, Micah Parsons, and even Jerry Jones commenting on OBJ this week.
Beckham will most likely sign with a contender on a “prove it” deal. The NFC is wide open after the undefeated Eagles and the Cowboys already played them tough with backup Cooper Rush starting. Who knows how those teams will match up with Dak Prescott under center and possibly OBJ in the fold on Christmas Eve.
Bobby Belt and Bryan Broaddus of the Audacy Original Podcast “Love of the Star” talked about the Odell Beckham Jr. rumors and made a prediction for when – and where – he’ll sign.
“Can I make a prediction?” Broaddus said (10:25 in player above). “I don’t think you’re going to see real Odell Beckham movement until it might be after Thanksgiving. It might be after Thanksgiving.”
“Whenever there’s movement, he’s a Cowboy,” Belt predicted. “I think he’s a Cowboy.”
“I think he ends up in Dallas, too,” Broaddus said. “I really do.”
But mind you, these are just predictions.
“This is just a prediction,” Broaddus said. “This is just me thinking out loud. Right now, I’m kind of getting the vibe that he’s kind of finishing up some medical stuff and it’s going to be probably a couple of weeks, and are you going to do anything during Thanksgiving? You know, could they sign him during Thanksgiving against the Giants?”
“Hey, his family’s down here. His family’s in Dallas,” Belt said. “Maybe he wants to spend Thanksgiving in Dallas.”
There have been conflicting reports about when OBJ could be cleared to play. Nevertheless, the guys think he’ll end up in Dallas.
“I think we’re honestly a couple weeks away from seeing real movement.”
“I wouldn’t doubt it but I bet when we see movement I bet he ends up with a star on his helmet,” Belt concluded.
