Matching his father in his Sunday red, Charlie converted 11 consecutive birdies – a tournament record – while shooting 15-under par for the day and 25-under par in the tournament for Team Woods.

While the duo ultimately fell short to John Daly and his son, John Daly II by two strokes, the spotlight was clearly on the younger Woods.

Much of the attention entering the weekend was on Tiger himself, who was playing for the first time since he was hospitalized following a car crash earlier this year.

Tiger was visibly playing through some pain throughout the weekend and his future in golf is very uncertain, but it is certainly possible his son could be following in his footsteps.

While he had impressed everyone a year ago with his mannerisms and play, but Sunday was a whole different level from Charlie as golf fans everywhere felt as if they were watching something special happening.

His best moment came on the 17th hole, a par 3, when Charlie dropped his tee shot within six feet for the cup. He was also playing from the same distance as the older pros on that hole.

Just look at the reaction from everyone on social media:

It is clear Charlie Woods may be the sport’s new favorite golfer.
