DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys released a statement on the incident involving quarterback Kelvin Joseph on Friday, revealing their stance on the issue.

"The Dallas Cowboys are aware of the tragic incident that occured in Dallas on March 18. First and foremost, our hearts go out Mr. Ray's family and loved ones. The organization is aware of Kelvin Joseph's possible connection to this incident. We are in contact with Dallas law enforcement and have alerted the NFL office. We have no further comment at this time."

Dallas Police are seeking to interview Joseph in connection with a murder that occurred this past march in the Greenville Avenue area.

Joseph was reportedly involved in some capacity in an altercation near the 3600 block of Greenville avenue on the same night that 20-year-old Cameron Ray was shot and killed.

He was also reportedly a passenger in a car in which the shots were fired that killed Ray. Though Joseph's lawyer insists his client was unarmed and did not fire the shots.

Ray was shot outside of OT Tavern at the corner of Greenville Avenue and Martel Avenue at 2 a.m.

Ray was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
