Micah Parsons out to destroy QBs like 'The Terminator': 'Hurts is on the hit list now'

Rookie linebacker Micah Parsons has been showing out for the Cowboys defense and now he has his sights on every opposing quarterback he will be facing this year.

The Dallas Cowboys’ explosive linebacker made the switch to the defensive line for Week 2 against the Chargers to fill in for a depleted defensive front. All Micah did was sack Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert for a loss of 18 while tacking on two tackles. Not bad for someone who’s never played on the d-line.

Now that Parsons has gotten his first real taste as an every down pass rusher, Parsons spoke to Dallas Cowboys beat writer Jon Machota about having a taste for sacking quarterbacks and now has his sights set on Eagles QB Jalen Hurts.

"Every quarterback (we face this season) is on the hit list. I want all of them," Parsons said, per Cowboys beat writer Jon Machota. "(Jalen) Hurts is on the hit list now, too. You got to look at it like you're trying to be like The Terminator out there."

This isn’t the first time a player has made a declaration this bold. Former Bengals wide receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson made a list titled “Who Covered 85 in ‘05” and checked off any cornerback that couldn’t cover Johnson on a weekly basis.

The difference between Johnson’s and Parsons’ statement is Micah is still only a rookie with only two games under his belt while Johnson was already a Pro Bowler. If you caught this season of Hard Knocks, you could see a similar level of confidence from Parsons that made Johnson such a great and entertaining player.

Parsons was forced into action as a defensive end with pass rusher Demarcus Lawrence sustaining a broken foot and Randy Gregory being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Although this may not be a permanent spot once Lawrence and Gregory return, Parsons sees no reason that he can’t be eased into a new position.

"When you've got a wild bull, you don't just let him pace, you let him run," Parsons added, via ESPN's Todd Archer. "... If I'm tired, I'll tell them I'm tired. I'm out there, I just want to play."
