(SportsRadio 610) - David Culley will no longer coach the Houston Texans, but he is walking away with a pocket full of money.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Texans owe Culley another $17 million over the next three years. That means Culley gets about $22 million for his lone season as the Texans' head coach.

Meanwhile, the Texans are looking for their third coach in as many seasons, following back-to-back seasons with just four wins.

Fortunately for Houston, coaches' salaries do not count against the cap. The Texans lead the league in dead money for the upcoming season with $35.4 million, not to mention the $40.4 million that will count against their books if they are unable to trade quarterback Deshaun Watson.
