Joe Davis uses eerily similar call for Justin Jefferson's catch as Bryce Harper's NLCS HR

When Justin Jefferson made one of the greatest catches in NFL history during the fourth quarter of a thriller between the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills, Joe Davis used a call that sounded familiar to Philadelphia Phillies fans:

If you need a refresher, Davis was on the call for FOX during the NLCS, and he nailed Bryce Harper's go-ahead home run in Game 5 of the series, which ultimately sent the Phillies to the World Series:

Jefferson's catch may quite literally be the best in NFL history, so from here, it was an appropriate call from Davis. But some Phillies fans felt differently:

Davis may have to retire the "of his life" calls, or at least shelve them for a while. But to be fair, both of these moments are iconic, and perhaps will go down as the defining moments in two Hall of Fame careers.

And hey, at least Philadelphia has another reason to talk about Jefferson other than the Eagles' ill-fated decision to select Jalen Reagor over him in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
