Dez Bryant On Where He'll Play: 'I'd Rather It Be With The Dallas Cowboys'

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Former Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant says he wants to come back to the team after recently declaring he's ready to return to the NFL.

Bryant was asked on social media Tuesday where he'd like to play and he responded by saying he'd "rather it be with the Dallas Cowboys." Bryant added that if that's not a possibility then he'll play somewhere else.

The Cowboys elected to release Bryant in April and moved foward with a receiving core of Allen Hurns, Deonte Thompson, Terrance Williams, Michael Gallup, Tavon Austin and Cole Beasley. Through four games, the receiving core has amassed just 524 yards receiving while quarterback Dak Prescott has thrown for over 200 yards only once. Dallas recently added a familiar face in Brice Butler to the depth chart but he has yet to see any action since being signed.

Over the course of the last several months, Bryant has called out his former Cowboys teammates, coaches and front office members on social media, blaming them for his release from the team, while praising owner Jerry Jones. He has flirted with the Cleveland Browns and turned down an offer from the Baltimore Ravens while he determined what his future was in the NFL.

Bryant, selected by Dallas in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft, amassed 531 catches for 7,459 yards in his eight-year career with the Cowboys. The Lufkin native is the club's all-time leader in touchdown receptions (73).
