The Bears went into the second half down 24-7 Sunday night, yet DJ Moore was hardly involved in the final two quarters.

Chicago got pummeled by the Chargers on Sunday Night Football, losing 30-13 at SoFi Stadium. The Bears kept things simple on offense with rookie Tyson Bagent at quarterback, and with that came few looks for their No. 1 receiver.

Moore finished with four catches for 55 yards in the loss.

“They just rolled the coverage to me, like Cover 2 to my side,” Moore said Monday in his weekly appearance on Mully & Haugh when asked what the Chargers did to limit him. “We have certain calls for certain things, I feel like I was open two times and the ball just didn’t come my way. With the rush they were bringing and everything else, it’s hard, but I understand it.”

When the Bears have fed Moore often, good things have happened. Both of the Chicago’s wins this season have come when the 26-year-old was targeted nine or more times.

Despite that, he saw just one target in the second half as Chicago tried to pull itself out the deficit, which grew to as many as 23 points.

Moore always strikes a team-first tone when asked about targets, but did concede Monday he wanted the ball more.

“A little upset that I didn’t get the ball, but that’s just the game,” Moore said. “We’ve only got one ball and 11 people on the field, but the defense was really keying into where I was at the whole time. Either rolling coverage or just playing two people with me. That’s just how it goes when you have impact games or make impact plays on a team.
