Brian Flores shed some more light on his firing from the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday, claiming on HBO Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel that he turned down “millions of dollars” when he declined to sign a non-disparage agreement (NDA) upon his dismissal from the team.
Flores, who was flanked by his attorneys in the interview, said that signing an NDA would have “really silenced me.”

But the Dolphins are saying that he was never offered an NDA.
“This latest assertion by Brian Flores that [team owner] Steve Ross mentioned an NDA to him is categorically false,” the team said in a statement. “This just did not happen and we simply cannot understand why Brian continues this pattern of making unfounded statements that he knows are untrue. We are fully cooperating with the NFL investigation and look forward to all of the facts coming out which we are confident will prove that his claims are false and defamatory.”
Flores, who was recently hired as an assistant for the Pittsburgh Steelers, is suing the NFL and several teams, including the dolphins, alleging discrimination in their hiring practices.
Flores also claims that Dolphins owner Stephen Ross offered him $100,000 for every loss in 2019 in order to get the top draft pick.
Flores and his attorneys told Gumbel they have evidence to support these claims.
