Saints quarterback Drew Brees is set to return from injured reserve Sunday when New Orleans hosts the Kansas City Chiefs in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome at 3:25 p.m.
Brees missed the Saints last four games as he recovered from multiple rib fractures and a collapsed lung.
ESPN’s Ed Werder reports that when Brees takes the field Sunday he’ll do so wearing custom protective equipment.
