Ezekiel Elliott Says He's 'Good' After Getting Banged Up Sunday

FRISCO (105.3 The Fan) - Ezekiel Elliott participated in a full practice on Wednesday despite dealing with a sore ankle and knee bursitis.

Elliott was expected to be limited but the running back said he didn't miss anything.

"Honestly, this is the best Wednesday practice I've had," Elliott said. "It's the freshest I've felt any Wednesday. I did a good job coming in and making sure I got my treatment so I was ready to go today.

When a reporter followed up Elliott's comment with another about his health, Elliot said, "I'm good."

Elliott got banged up after touching the ball 29 times for 240 total yards in Sunday's win against Detroit, but he was never concerned about it.

"I was banged up, but it's football," Elliott said. "That's what it is. I'm young and I got fresh legs. I'm going to get the ball as much as I can."

The running back has also been more of a vocal leader lately due to the absence of Jason Witten and Dez Bryant, and he's embracing it.

"It's a new dimension for me. I've never really had to be that guy. But with Witten & Dez gone & Sean Lee hurt, opportunities open up and sometimes you have to be that guy."
