Following Patrick Mahomes' two-interception performance in a Week 5 loss against the Buffalo Bills, the Kansas City Chiefs' star quarterback had a realization that he just might be trying to do too much, telling 610 Sports Radio in Kansas City that he has to realize he "can't score on every single play."

And while he may have acknowledged that he has to brush up on that aspect of his game, it looks like there's a little bit of a learning curve ahead. That's because in Week 6, Mahomes followed through with a much worse interception... one which several fans are calling the worst play of his career to this point.

Kleiman's reference to Mahomes' mother, Randi, stems from her tweet after his first interception of the game, one that bounced off of Tyreek Hill's hands on a very catchable ball and resulted in a pick. Randi argued that such a play "should not be an interception on the QB... that should be a fumble or anything else," but it's hard to find much reason not to call the above clip anything other than an interception. And a bad one.

It was his 15th interception in his last 15 games, and his third multi-interception game in the past three weeks. In 2019 and 2020 combined, as StatMuse noted, Mahomes had only one multi-interception game. Not great.

As expected, social media was shocked, disappointed, appalled and everything in between by Mahomes' less-than-stellar attempt to fling the ball in the air and wish for the best.

Fortunately, Mahomes bounced back relatively quickly, firing a touchdown to Tyreek Hill to take the lead back from the Washington Football Team, a lead they've further built upon since I began writing this story. Things change quickly!
