New York Giants kicker Graham Gano tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday night.

The Giants, who are on a bye this week, released a statement announcing a player produced a positive test and that he is currently in self-isolation. Two other close contacts were identified and informed to remain home on Monday.

The Giants also said that they are keeping their team facilities open to staff on Monday and will be working closely with the NFL’s Chief Medical Officer regarding the next protocol steps.

Despite the facilities remaining open to staff, multiple reports say players – who were scheduled to be in the building Tuesday and Wednesday before entering their bye week – will participate in scheduled meetings virtually.

Gano, 33, was just given a contract extension following Sunday's game against the Eagles in which he converted three extra points and two field goals.

With the team on a bye this week, it does not seem as if their schedule is in jeopardy.
