Remarkably, the most-talked-about moment of the 2022 MLB season didn’t even happen during a game.

It’s been nearly three weeks since Tommy Pham slapped Joc Pederson, jumpstarting one of the great baseball dramas in recent memory. Pham’s outburst—which he paid for in the form of a three-game suspension—was over a fantasy football feud that began months earlier, feeling Pederson crossed a line by using ESPN’s injured reserve feature, allowing him to carry an extra player on his bench.

The controversy has sparked plenty of healthy debate in the fantasy football community with arguments made on both sides. Mike Trout, who appears to be one-and-done as league commissioner, was mum on the subject when grilled by ESPN’s Karl Ravech on Sunday Night Baseball, though he did offer one interesting tidbit, revealing last year’s champion to be Astros third baseman Alex Bregman.

What we do know is where the Giants stand on the matter, with teammates showing their support for Pederson by donning these tongue-in-cheek t-shirts during warmups earlier this week.

Regardless of where your allegiance lies, whether you’re a card-carrying member of Team Joc or stand in solidarity with Pham (who alleges Pederson left out key details in his retelling of events), all eyes will be on the rival outfielders when the Giants host Cincinnati next weekend at Oracle Park.
