There were some fireworks on the field at the end of the Giants-Rams game Sunday night.

As Big Blue dropped to 0-4 with a 17-9 loss to Los Angeles, Giants receiver Golden Tate and Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey reportedly got into a fight at midfield at the end of the game.

According to The Associated Press reporter Greg Beacham, the two walked toward each other after the final whistle and took swings almost simultaneously before they went to the ground and had their teammates and coaches pull them apart.

Fox cameras caught part of the fight as they were going away from the game while another video taken from the press box showed the aftermath of Tate being walked away from the scuffle and turning around shouting something back toward Ramsey.

Things got chippy between the two players during the game, with Ramsey deliver a brutal hit on Tate, piledriving him backwards and into the ground.

It was a clean hit, but it may not have been the reason to exchange fists.

The two have an unsavory personal history with one another. Ramsey is the father of Tate’s two nieces, and the Rams star cornerback had a public breakup with Tate’s sister, Breanna Tate, last year – leaving her for a Las Vegas dancer while she was pregnant.

Tate told The New York Post this week that he was “not happy with the disrespect that he’s shown towards my sister.”

While there are clearly some off-the-field matters in play, Ramsey’s big hit and the Giants losing the game likely only added to frustrations on Tate’s end, resulting in the melee at the end of the game.
