Much of the drama this week in the NFL centered around Odell Beckham Jr. and where the star wide receiver would ultimately end up.
After clearing waivers on Tuesday, he officially became a free agent and several teams such as the Packers, Saints, Chiefs, Seahawks and Patriots were all linked as potential suitors for Beckham.
But it was the Los Angeles Rams who ultimately came out on top, despite flying under the radar, and according to Fox NFL insider Jay Glazer, it was because Beckham sought after them.
“Here’s what was happening: All those other teams that were interested, they were all pursuing Odell. What they didn’t know was that Odell was pretty much pursuing the Rams,” Glazer said. “And the guy he had doing it for him, was Jalen Ramsey, who has an awful lot of pull in this league. … Jalen Ramsey went to Sean McVay and McVay talked to Odell on Wednesday.
“They didn’t promise him a number of targets. They didn’t offer him a huge contract…but in Odell’s mind, he knew ‘I can make more off the field in Los Angeles than I can anywhere else.’”

Glazer also added that Beckham hopes the Rams become his long-term home.
The 29-year-old is expected to play Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers and could potentially be used as a punt returner.
The Rams also lost wide receiver Robert Woods for the season due to an ACL injury, but Glazer said that likely will not impact Beckham’s role with the team.
