Golden State Warriors: Kevin Durant, Draymond Green Are Feuding

OAKLAND (95.7 The Game) -- The Golden State Warriors' 121-116 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night was punctuated by a tense scene between Kevin Durant and Draymond Green who exchanged words on the bench after Green had flubbed the final play of regulation.

For context, here's footage of the scene that sparked all the trouble:

Then on Tuesday morning, the following Woj/Spears bomb dropped:

Spears then joined "Steinmetz and Guru" to break down all the specifics surrounding the kerfuffle. Spears said the sparring in the locker room was strictly verbal, not physical.

"The voices did kind of escalate and it did get kind of heated in the locker room in terms of discussion about what went wrong on the court," Spears said on 95.7 The Game. "And it sounds like a lot of the guys were taking Durant's side. And Draymond definitely was holding his own about how he felt about the situation, as well."

Asked about the bigger-importance of the incident, Spears said he's not sure how significant it is, but also admitted it's not nothing.

"Draymond's going to say what he wants to say," Spears explained. "But when you've got other strong voices on the team — like DeMarcus (Cousins) and Andre Iguodala and (Stephen) Curry — you know, they're going to hash it out but I don't think Armageddon is coming because of this."

UPDATE: Perhaps the most surprising development came later Tuesday afternoon when the Warriors suspended Green -- without pay -- for that night's game against the Atlanta Hawks. It did not appear as if Durant had been disciplined.
