This wedding reception was a complete home run.
Alex Bregman, star third baseman for the Houston Astros, answered a stranger's last-minute wedding invite on Instagram and "crashed" the reception in nearby Cypress, Texas.
A video posted to Bregman's YouTube channel captures the moment the baseball big-shot strolls in to the party for Steven and Haylee Lopez -- to a round of applause and to the delight of the bride and groom, who are big Astros fans.
"He just came to us, gave us a big hug, like he had been our friends forever," Haylee said, according to KHOU in Houston. "Absolutely hands down the best day of my life, and that was just icing on the cake."
The 24-year-old Bregman stuck around to dance, throw back some drinks, pose for photos and chat with the newlyweds' guests.
"That was a blast," said Bregman, the 2018 All-Star Game MVP. "That was crazy. Never crashed a wedding before. That was so much fun."
Also among the adventures Bregman has documented on YouTube this offseason: a road trip with his friends to a football game at LSU (Bregman's an alum) and the night he left a big-hearted $500 tip for a waitress who had her car broken into earlier that day.
