It's a Packers-Seahawks primetime matchup in primetime in Seattle on Thursday night ... that means something insane is about to happen. When the two teams have played in this building in the past, we have seen: Hail Marys, Fail Marys, replacement refs, onside kicks, conference championships, oh my. Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson have had some classic games against each other, and this one is huge for both teams. A Seahawks loss would put them at 4-6, needing a miracle to get to the playoffs. A Packers loss would put them at 4-5-1, needing to win at least five and maybe all six of their final games. The winner keeps playoffs hopes intact. This should be a goodie.

Rodgers had the Green Bay Packers offense rolling last week in a 31-12 win over the Miami Dolphins. He got a huge boost from running back Aaron Jones, who had a career-high 172 yards from scrimmage to go along with two rushing TDs, his first career multi-TD game. The Packers run game being effective makes this offense so much more dynamic and takes pressure off Rodgers, who has been used to putting the team on his back. Rodgers has thrown 17 TDs and just one INT all season. Davante Adams has quietly been having a tremendous season as the No. 1 receiver: 73 receptions, 787 yards, and nine TDs. The Packers defense has been wildly inconsistent, but they were tremendous against the Dolphins. They will need to focus on containing Wilson from running around and improvising, which always makes him dangerous.

Wilson has hurt himself at times trying to improvise, and he's taken more sacks than usual. That was not the case last week as the Seahawks went toe to toe with the Rams, eventually losing 36-31 in a hell of a game in Hollywood. Wilson had three TDs and 92 rushing yards. Wilson gets running back Chris Carson back Thursday, which now makes a three-headed monster in the backfield with Mike Davis and rookie Rashaad Penny, who finished with a career-high 108 rushing yards and his first career rushing TD last week. If Wilson can get solid production from all three running backs, the Seahawks offense becomes a lot more effective than it was earlier in the season, where they were forced to throw a lot. On defense, it's been the Shaquill Griffin/Bobby Wagner show. They combined for 23 tackles last week. But they have their work cut out for them against one of the greatest QBs to ever live. This one shapes up to be a shootout.
