According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Alabama's Bryce Young is expected to be the first name called on Draft Night, despite some reservations about his measureables.

"As it stands now, I talked to a lot of teams about this. Obviously, a lot of teams have spoken to Bryce Young. Plenty of teams in the top 10 have done the evaluations," Rapoport said. "The height is a thing, the weight is a thing - it matters. But it doesn't matter enough - from the people I've spoken with - to knock him out of the No. 1 spot."

In fact, Rapoport's report is more accurately a confirmation of what has been widely believed for weeks.

The only question is, which team will own the first pick on Draft Night?

The Chicago Bears are currently in possession of that selection, but with the organization committed to quarterback Justin Fields, they have acknowledged they are interested in trading back.

Instead, it seems likely that a quarterback-needy team will move up to snag Young, the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner.

Young put up gaudy numbers for one of the best teams in the nation in his two years as a starter, but if there are any lingering doubts about how he'll perform at the next level, they mostly relate to his relatively diminutive size.

Alabama's website listed Young at 6-feet-0 and 194 pounds, but there are suspicions he's both shorter and lighter than that.

Young, who is attending this week's Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, was expected to have his height and weight measured on Saturday. On Friday, he told reporters he weighed somewhere around 200 pounds, but ultimately said he wasn't concerned about his stature.

“Again, I’ve been this size, respectfully, my whole life. I know who I am. I know what I can do. For me, I think it’s fair. Everyone can speculate and ask whatever questions are necessary, but I’m going to continue to control what I can control. I’m going to keep working my hardest and put myself in good position. I’m confident in myself. I know what I can do. I’m just excited to get to that next level.”
