Iowa State fans heckle Ashton Kutcher by telling him to shower

Ashton Kutcher appeared Saturday on ESPN’s College GameDay, emphatically picking his beloved Hawkeyes to win their grudge match with in-state rival Iowa State.

Kutcher, who attended Iowa but didn’t graduate, seemed plenty confident in his prediction, earning him a round of well-deserved fist bumps from GameDay panelists Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard. However, that conviction wasn’t as well-received by Iowa State fans, who actively heckled the actor of Punk’d and That ‘70s Show Fame. Here they are, chanting, “Take a shower” while Kutcher plugs his new wine brand.

This summer, Kutcher and wife Mila Kunis raised eyebrows by admitting that neither showered regularly, claiming only to wash their “vitals” on a daily basis. The two also acknowledged being lax in bathing their children, agreeing with podcast host Dax Shepard that applying too much soap can deprive the body of natural oils.

Personal hygiene and college football fandom don’t typically go hand in hand (we all saw the mayonnaise video from last week, though most of us wish we hadn’t), but Saturday in Ames, Iowa, the two formed an unlikely alliance at Kutcher’s expense. To his credit, the 43-year-old didn’t seem to take it too personally, making the most of his GameDay experience by arriving in a combine (used for harvesting corn and other crops) and buddying up to broadcast legend Lee Corso.

Between hosting College GameDay and the success of last month’s “Field of Dreams” game in Dyersville, it’s been a fun few weeks in the Hawkeye State.
