It appears as though the Celtics are going to get some reinforcements for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Hayward, who has missed a month with the injury, would be a welcome addition for a Celtics team that finds themselves in a 2-0 hole to the Heat in the best-of-seven series.
The 30-year-old had been playing extremely well prior to ankle issue, turning in a 2019-20 season that saw him average 17.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.
Hayward's skill-set would undoubtedly help a Celtics' offense that was stifled by Miami's 2-3 zone during the second half of the C's Game 2 loss. It also lengthens a bench that had become reliant on Brad Wanamaker as its only real offensive threat after the starting five.
Tip-off for Game 3 is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
