The Brooklyn Nets will be down a man for Game 2 against the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday.
The team announced on Sunday that James Harden is out for the game after being diagnosed with right hamstring tightness.
It is unclear the extent of Harden’s injury and whether or not he will miss additional time.
Harden left Saturday’s Game 1 against the Bucks early in the first quarter due to a right hamstring injury and did not return.
The Nets went on to win the game, 115-107, but his absence could play a significant role in the series if he were to miss extended time.
Harden also missed 21 games during the regular season due to a right hamstring issue, raising concerns about the current injury.
Harden averaged 24.6 points, 10.9 assists and 8.5 rebounds per game since being traded to the Nets earlier this year, including 27.8 points and 10.6 assists in their first-round series vs. the Celtics.
If Harden is to miss a significant amount of time, it could change the entire complexion of the series vs. the Bucks as well as the remainder of the Nets’ playoff run.
