Jason Kelce may look like he is about to take a trip to Flavortown, USA but the Philadelphia Eagles center explained on Thursday there is a good reason behind his newly dyed blonde hair.
He simply lost a bet.
Kelce revealed to reporters on Thursday that he made a friendly wager with teammate Zach Ertz, who arrived to training camp with dyed blonde hair, that the team would trade the tight end by Week 1.

Obviously, Ertz was not traded despite his unhappiness and GM Howie Roseman’s willingness to shop the tight end, which meant that Kelce had to match his teammate’s new hairstyle.
“My wife’s definitely not a fan,” Kelce said, per NFL.com. “It’s a bet I’m happy to lose. So not happy with the hair, but happy I lost the bet.”
Kelce would not say what would have happened to Ertz had he lost the bet, but joked that he believed Ertz knew at the time of the bet he was no longer going to be traded.
“I think he might have known at that point,” Kelce said. “Which is why I’m sitting here with this hair. A little inside information.”

Kelce quickly rejected the notion that he would keep the hair throughout the season, but if the Eagles keep winning like they did in Week 1 he may have to keep it.
Heck, if they keep winning others might even join him.
