The former Broncos and Bears star is apparently interested in a TV job with one of the league's broadcasts partners, and his representatives have engaged in talks with FOX Sports, according to Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports.

Cutler, 38, had a short-lived stint with FOX several years ago, briefly joining with the network before stepping down to instead serve as a backup quarterback with the Miami Dolphins.

He was tabbed as FOX's No. 2 analyst behind Troy Aikman, but passed up the opportunity to return to the gridiron.

The former Pro Bowler seemed destined to work in TV in some capacity, between his aborted stint with FOX and co-starring on the E! network's "Very Cavallari" with his former wife, reality star Kristen Cavallari.

Now 38, it seems Cutler is apparently ready to get back in the game, four years after his retirement and two years after the last episode of the reality show aired. The couple announced their divorce shortly after the show's run ended.

It's unclear exactly what position Cutler might be considered for, but he told Front Office Sports that he again has his eye on "color commentary."

The former Vanderbilt star has also reached out to NFL broadcast partners other than FOX, including Amazon, he told the outlet.

FOX Sports meanwhile is seeking a replacement for Aikman, who is leaving the network to serve as lead analyst on "Monday Night Football."
