Perhaps all is now well between Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals?
It was an eventful day for QBs around the NFL — with Aaron Rodgers signing a megadeal with the Packers and Russell Wilson traded to the Broncos — but Murray also appeared to make some waves involving his Instagram page once again.
The 24-year-old quarterback restored his social media page to include all the images of him with the Arizona Cardinals, which he had scrubbed a month ago, fueling speculation on his future.
Murray’s agent released a statement two weeks ago that the quarterback wants a contract extension with the Cardinals, putting the onus on the team to begin those negotiations.
Following his initial scrub, and before his agent’s statement, reports began to surface that the Cardinals believed Murray had maturity issues, prompting the quarterback to release his own statement disputing those characterizations.
It is unclear if Murray resetting his Instagram page is an indication that talks are progressing, but considering what followed after the scrub it is worth speculating if the situation is at least improving.
Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury, who is represented by the same agent as Murray, just inked an extension with the team, perhaps a precursor to a deal coming for their quarterback.
Murray led the Cardinals to their first playoff appearance since 2015 last season and earned his second Pro Bowl trip. He threw for 3,728 yards, 24 touchdowns to 10 interceptions while rushing for another 423 yards and five touchdowns in 14 games.
